Yosemite Valley is a very colorful place in Spring. From week to week different areas around Yosemite peak and then start to fade. The redbuds are nearly done for the year and on Saturday I caught the last of them just outside El Portal.

As I was looking through images it occurred to me that many of my images are structurally very similar – seems like I’m in a bit of a composition rut that I need to get out of. These 3 images are nearly identical except for the colors:



Saturday morning also gave me the opportunity to try out the new HDR Pro feature in Photoshop CS5. Adobe has introduced a photorealistic algorithm to CS5 that allows you to do HDR and still keep a natural look. In this case I think it worked pretty well.
